The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship model, and it is able to be adapted to meet a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clean paper that allows for optimal placement of the battery and a lower center-of-gravity. This leads to better payload/range ratios. The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The refrigerated trucks in class 4' one interior wall structure, and higher insulation than traditional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX has a higher capacity for cargo and a payload that is industry-leading to allow for zero emission transport of passengers or goods. GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to quickly change to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging at 75 kW. We were able to test drive the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours and found it easy to drive, and comfortable to drive long distances. The ride is smooth on bumps and ruts, and the EV9 is a master of reducing wind and road noise on the highway. green power scooters is quite quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative brakes that allow “one pedal driving” by simply lifting the accelerator. The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully recharged within three hours at home or using any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. GreenPower offers a variety of other electric vehicles which include a multi-purpose electric minibus dubbed the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used for executive shuttles, transit or microtransit vanpools, buses, and paratransit vehicles. GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star busses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 all-electric cars. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet the demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.
